Reports To: Engineering Technician
Location: RUKO Establishments Ltd Milk Factory, Kiruhura District
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor steam boiler systems to ensure continuous steam supply for production processes.
- Monitor boiler pressure, temperature, water levels, and fuel consumption to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and comply with statutory boiler regulations.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and maintain accurate boiler logs and operational records.
- Support energy efficiency, housekeeping, environmental, and occupational health initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Boiler Operation, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience operating industrial steam boilers, preferably in a food or dairy processing environment.
- Strong understanding of boiler safety systems and occupational health and safety requirements.
